There are many things about being a photographer that are rewarding and life changing. I get to witness some amazing moments between a group of people that I most often have no connection to before we meet. And if I'm doing my job as best I can it's very hard not to become caught up in these special moments. And one of the greatest rewards of this job is when I get to meet some wonderful people and they become more than just clients. They become friends. Jessica and Josh have traveled this journey with me since I met her to shoot her head shots for her job. Since then you've seen images from her and her sister's (Sarah) family session for their parents. Then came Jess's bridal images. And now I'm sharing her and Josh's special day at Vintage Villas. The day was amazing and love overflowed! I love that I can call them friends and look forward to photographing many more amazing moments for them! Enjoy!

I know it's been a while since the last post. And all I have to say is why haven't I learned that you can write multiple posts at one time and schedule them to go live to the site at certain times? DUH!! So I've made a commitment to set aside a specific time each week to get all posts written and scheduled so you guys can get more updates on what's been going on here at JWP.

So enough of the self analysis and epiphany ranting. How bout giving a round of applause to the Tucker family for getting their first formal family portraits done!! It was a great afternoon in McKinney and I love this family like my own. Jackson and Reese were great and it's always good to see Clint and Lauren. Looking forward to seeing them again soon. Thank you to those responsible (both past and present) for me having the freedom to enjoy an evening with friends, fireworks, and memories. I take for granted too often that we live in a place where blood, passion, and courage have overcome many of the oppressions and prejudices this world brings with it so that I can be FREE of them! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!

Now back to the real world!!!

Jessica Bridal Portraits [edit]

I know it's been a little too long for the next post. So I'm going to try and make up for it with two posts tonight! Oh yeah! First and foremost is the debut of Jessica's bridal session from a while back. The wedding was a couple weeks ago and I'll be posting some of those in a couple days.

Jessica and Josh are super cute together and you'll see how in love they are when you see the wedding images. Josh is a guy's guy...West Point grad, active Army officer, collegiate football and minor league baseball, etc. So even though this is a post about Jessica I'd like to take a minute on the heals of the 4th to say thanks to Josh and his fellow military peers for keeping us FREE!

Now back to Jessica...we went to one of my favorite locations in Georgetown, Southwestern U. campus. The great architecture and her amazing dress complimented each other perfectly! She's the most natural bride I've had in front of my lens yet. I hope you enjoy the images and keep an eye out for the wedding ones coming soon!
